Finding a call for papers.

A: Hello, Y. Congratulations on getting your paper accepted to that conference.
Y: Thank you. It's the first international conference for our team so everyone is really excited.
A: I need to start looking for a conference or journal for my research, too, soon. Where did you find yours?
Y: It was at the end of last year so I don't really remember exactly, but it was probably either a search for "call for papers" and a few other keywords or an announcement from a research mailing list.
A: How did you get on a mailing list?
Y: You can probably do an Internet search for that, too. Just do a search for "mailing lists" and keywords from your research area and you should be able to find the main communities in that research area and instructions on how to join their mailing lists.
A: OK, I'll try that.
Y: Oh, another place I found calls for papers was in the back of research journals and magazines.
A: Thanks.
