Contents

Students will be introduced to a series of study units showing snapshots of various situations encountered in a day of the life of an engineer. Unit quizzes and exercises will guide students through some discussions of the development of a simple online system for studying technical English skills.

Prerequisites

The prerequisite skills for this class are:

  • experience using the Web
  • experience using e-mail
Familiarity with HTML and scripting languages helpful, but not required.

Objectives

At the end of the course, you should be able to:

  • Understand how to design and build a simple learning tracking system using a scripting language such as Perl

Grading and Assignments

You will need to complete all of the exercises and quizzes by the specified deadlines to be eligible for course credit.
